Bandan, the Demon King

Bandan was born under black suns, blood, and terrifying desires. King Bandan once led his army to conquer the whole world but was overcome. Being Demon King, he reformed himself afterwards. Bandan is depicted as a ferocious warrior wearing the tall crown of rulership.

Disposition 2d6.

When calling upon Bandan to reknit an eviscerated, wounded, or fallen individual, roll for Reaction using Disposition. Modify this accordingly after rolling:

Add 1d6 to the total if the target is drained of half their blood.

Add 1d6 to the total if the target swears loyalty to Bandan, or subtract 1d6 from the total if they do not.

On a Hostile or Negative result, Bandan’s blade-like arms snap out of surfaces within 50 ft, pulling the invoker apart. Their remains float upwards to the sky to be consumed by Bandan, rising on the rays of a black sun that appears overhead.

On a Disinterested result, one of Bandan’s diabolic courtiers appears to bear witness to the scene unfolding. Every courtier has an Impulse they enact upon the target should they grow bored.

On a Positive result, Bandan reknits the target from the molten core of his black sun father. This usually produces a being covered in sharp edges. The target now carries a new sadistic Impulse that must be sated once every day. Denying this Impulse brings the ire of Bandan, manifested gradually in myriad twisted mutations and behaviors. This effect stacks each time they are reknit in this way. They must now obey whoever wears a demonic crown.

On a Friendly result, Bandan reknits the target as above, but places a mock crown on the target’s head. Diabolic courtiers and demons obey the command of whosoever wears this mock crown. In 1d6 months, the crown melts onto the head of the one who wears it and sends the remains of the wearer to Bandan as on a Hostile or Negative result.
